Your first anime?

I quickly scanned the board and didn't see this topic, so I figured I'd start one.
For me, the first anime I saw that I knew was anime was Dragonball Z. The first anime I saw was Samurai Pizza Cats, though I had no idea it was anime at the time- it was just another Saturday morning cartoon to me.
As for the first anime I owned? Spirited Away on DVD, and this movie really served as my gateway into anime. While I had seen things prior, Spirited Away is the first that really got me into the medium.

My first anime was Pokemon, but I don't count that because I didn't know what anime was. I still consider Bleach my first anime XD

Pokemon (and Digimon, for that matter) were other early ones for me.

My neighbor totoro on technicality but its a three way tie otherwise, love hina, bubblegum crisis 2040 and Trigun.

MY first anime? Either Voltron or Transformers....I was watching both on Saturday morning cartoons when I was little. Didn't know what anime was but it was awesome.

Technically speaking my first anime was Pokemon. However, the first show I watched that I recognized as Anime was InuYasha. Soon after came FMA, Naruto and then the godsend of Trinity Blood ( .. no pun intended ; 0 )
