Re: GUEST IDEAS FOR 2010
I agree that you should consider Vic Mignogna if you can. Johnny Yong Bosch too, but I'm not sure budget-wise. As for others to consider
Steve Blum
Yuri Lowenthal
John Burgmeier
Aaron Dismuke
Travis Willingham
Mike MacFarland
Laura Bailey
Micah Solusod
Chuck Huber
that's enough, I suppose XD

you don't need a REASON to HELP PEOPLE.

Re: GUEST IDEAS FOR 2010
It would also mean that guests who are most likely from NYC, Houston, or LA, would be sitting around for a full week between cons. They would be losing work and most likely need to be compensated for that.
Even if it was the same guest at two cons a week apart, it would be a lot cheaper to fly the person in twice.
...and if someone could see someone at one con, why would they go to another con a week earlier/later to see the same guest? Some people are huge fans and would do that, sure...but I'm not convinced that most people would bother. I don't see it as an attendance draw to have the same guest appearing twice in two weeks at two cons within a few hours drive.

Re: GUEST IDEAS FOR 2010
I agree, it isn't going to help either convention out to share a guest. Especially the convention that happens last.... everyone will go see them at the first convention and the second convention could end up being a ghost town... I'd rather have someone different so that people either have to find a way to go to both or they have to make a choice and hopefully both conventions can get what they need for a crowd to meet expenses.

Thanks for answering my question concerning the process of getting Japanese guests. I was curious about the process of how it was done and its interetsing to finally understand how. =)
Another three names we might wanna look at:
Carrie Savage
Caitlin Glass
Charles Baker

I am adding Christine Auten to my list. A lot of the voice actors have MySpace accounts so this might be one way to contact them.

I'd love to see Vic Mignogna there. It would be really cool. I don't know if he'd be able to attend but I know he went to the con at RIT, and I know he loves his fans so he might come... maybe.

Re: GUEST IDEAS FOR 2010
David Hayter would be awesome!
Though, if I remember we have tried him before have we not? Is he too expensive or does he not have an open schedule?

Re: GUEST IDEAS FOR 2010
Davenfonet,
That's a shame.
I'm sorry about that! But I think I speak for all Baku fans when I say thank you for trying anyways!
Another suggestion:
This one, I personally would recommend strongly due to his career in voice acting in general and the studying the stage acting and Shakespeare training that many voice actors start off with. Simon Templeman is most well known for his role as the the Vampiric Lord, Kain, from the game series Legacy of Kain. He's also recently done Loghain from Dragon Age Origins, Gabriel Roman from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and will be playing a role in Mass Effect 2 as Han Gerrel.
He's also done a lot of guest starring roles in Angel, 24, and Charmed. Now I have no idea how much it would cost to get him or if he is even interested, but I thought he would bring a very unique perspective to Baku attendees about the world of voice acting with his array of work in television, voice acting, and I believe some stage acting.

Re: GUEST IDEAS FOR 2010
I suggest it every year jsut becasue, but Hikau Utada ^_^
I think it would be really neat to have a musical guest who could perform at the con. I mean, we have the dance every year so we know that noise isn't the msot pressing issue. Just throwing the idea out there ^_^ Not even jsut Utada-sama, but any musical guest would be really cool ^_^

If I said that I never feared the Darkness, but indeed welcomed it, would you still love me...
