Penny Dreadful panels/events

Postby Whisper » Sat Sep 27, 2008 4:11 am

Hey Bakuretsu Con peoples! The rest of the Penny Dreadful crew and I are excited to be heading up your way in a few weeks! We're going to be hosting or running a few panels and/or events, so I wanted to put that out there. We'll let you know what exactly and when, when we exactly know.

We're really honored to be a part of the Con this year, and looking forward to you willingly surrendering your valuables to us soon enough. ^_^

Much love,
Whisper

Hey guys,

The Penny Dreadfuls just finished up a weekend of craziness at Another Anime Con down here in New Hampshire. It was awesome. And we thank anyone who attended our panels.

This weekend, we'll be running FOUR panels for Baku- con, including the two we ran for AAC.

So come visit us, sit in on things, hang out, and be totally epic.

Times are subject to change, but here's what we've got at the moment:

Friday 11-12pm
Hand-Sewing for Beginners
Never sewn a stitch but want to start? Have no idea where the thread goes? Or even what to do with it if you got there? For shame! Everyone has to start somewhere. Come learn a few basics of sewing to get you started and ready for your first cosplay project.

Saturday 12-1pm
Steampunk it!: DIY Steampunk Prop and Costume Making
Need tips for assembling and making your own Steampunk Costumes and Props? Then New England's premiere steampunk sky-pirates can help! Get put on track to looking like a true sky-pirate, Victorian nobility, mad scientist, or punked out chimney sweep! The Penny Dreadfuls will be displaying and speaking about current and past projects, while answering questions and showing you how easy it is to Do It Yourself!

Saturday 4-5pm
Steampunk Approved! *BA-GOOSH!*
Steampunk. Neo-Victorianism. Gas-lamp Fantasy. What are they? Where did they come from? What the hell is a dirigible? Do you find yourself asking these questions? Then come investigate the subject with the help of The Penny Dreadfuls, New England's premiere steampunk sky-pirates!

Sunday 1-2 pm
Steampunk in Anime
You may or may not have heard the word “steampunk” floating around, but if you’re a fan of anime, then The Penny Dreadfuls are sure you’ve already seen examples of it! FMA, Steamboy, Final Fantasy, and so much more. Come discuss steampunk in anime with New England’s steampunk sky-pirates.

See you guys there!

Much love,
Whisper
